PRIVATE TREATMENTS

This is where we dig deeper and it’s more for chronic difficult to treat problems. The initial consult allows me to spend time getting to know you and your condition. I ask detailed questions, check your pulse and tongue, and do general and/or specific assessments. I do homework to get to the root of your symptoms, possibly order labs, prescribe herbal formulas, supplements, and dietary recommendations. You get an acupuncture treatment in a private room where it’s much easier to relax into a deeply restorative and healing state.

GROUP ACUPUNCTURE
You will be in the room with 5 other people who are being treated. I care deeply for our community and want to be able to help as many people as possible. This setting is a great way to make treatments affordable but is also used for less complicated problems. Reasons to come to group include:*

You have some aches and pains you would like addressed, perhaps from an old injury, or stress related tension, or a mild to moderate headache.

You’re coming down with a cold or flu - best time to come in is asap to help the body recover much faster.

You want a “tune up” and your general health and wellbeing restored.

You took multiple privates and you are ready for a maintenance program.

DISTAL vs LOCAL ACUPUNCTURE
Most of the time I use a distal method to acupuncture, putting needles in areas other than where the pain is. I generally like to treat in areas that are opposite to the problem. For instance if you have shoulder pain I might treat your opposite knee. It’s an ancient method that utilizes the inherent intelligence of the nervous and vascular system to not only relieve pain, but also fix the underlying problem. It is very effective at increasing blood flow, vasodilating in the area of disease, and releasing neuropeptides for powerful pain killing effects. Acupuncture is always regulating the body and bringing it back to homeostasis or balance.
